Bonita works with Afristar designing, developing and implementing permaculture programmes and environmental education using art as a tool for communication and empowerment. She has a great love and passion for Africa and enjoys getting involved with people and communities to bring out their highest aspirations. Among other successes, Bonita workshopped the Kutama Sinthumule rural community in Limpopo to develop themes for painting local bus stops. The resulting murals both creatively advertised the Vhembe Biosphere EXPO and revitalized public spaces, transforming plain bus shelters into fabulous displays of community permaculture art, some of which can be seen on this website. | | | |
